I've spent the last couple weekends with my cousin, Daniel, and his girlfriend and friends. It has been great to catch up and experience his life here in Busan. Since our family is so spread out over the globe, moments like these are few and fully appreciated.
I spent last week in Jeju, the major island to the south of Korea, with my Uncle and Grandmother. I did some snorkeling with my Uncle and hung out with Grandmother, reading and drawing. They provided some welcomed insights into my present place in life.
In Busan, one of the main attractions are the beaches. Inevitably, we cooled off by the ocean, making sand sculptures and observing the unique qualities of the local culture. I am reluctant to leave—I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here with my cousin and part of me would like to stay indefinitely, but alas, we each walk our own path and so I must continue on with mine.
